FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Stormcloud Builds Community with Grow Benzie

FRANKFORT, MI (August 11, 2015) Stormcloud Brewing Company has announced the next recipient of its Stormcloud Builds Community initiative. For the month of August, Stormcloud is helping to support Grow Benzie.

Based in Benzonia, Michigan, Grow Benzie is a nonprofit farmstead dedicated to enriching the lives of Benzie County residents through education in agriculture, nutrition, job training and life skills. Grow Benzie will benefit from a fund raising event happening Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Stormcloud Brewing Company. 20% of all sales at Stormcloud between the hours of 46pm on Saturday will be donated directly to Grow Benzie.

Stormcloud CoOwner Rick Schmitt says growing Benzie County and improving the life skills of local residents is reason enough to support the community farmstead. “From teaching people of all ages how to grow their own food to helping low income families improve their financial opportunities, Grow Benzie is truly helping our community ‘grow’ in every sense of the word,” says Schmitt. “The residents of Frankfort and the rest of Benzie County are very fortunate to have an organization such as Grow Benzie operating locally.”

Stormcloud will also partner with Grow Benzie for Bayou on the Bay, a one day festival happening Saturday, August 29, from 111pm in Frankfort’s Open Space Park. Blues and zydeco musicians from Louisiana and Michigan will play throughout the day, with local food including a Louisiana gumbo made with fresh fish, a beer garden serving Stormcloud’s Belgian Inspired¨ Michigan Made beer, cooking demonstrations and more.

As part of its Stormcloud†Builds†Community†initiative, Stormcloud Brewing Company selects one charitable organization making a difference in northern Michigan to share its message with Stormcloud’s customers and to help raise funding. Recipients are chosen every month during the summer season and quarterly thereafter.
